Abstract:
Biocon India has been the brainchild of Kiran Mazumdar Shaw who transformed it from a small entity to the largest biopharma company in India. Started from a garage in Bangalore in 1978 with just Rs. 10,000, Biocon grew to become the flag bearer of the Indian biotech industry with revenues of Rs. 2,574 million in 2003.
